Zimarne came to study at John Paul College, Logan, in 2015 – Year 7. He wanted to be at a school that would help him academically, and also a school where he could focus on his sporting ability. John Paul College is a big and busy school, a long way from the small community of Palm Island where he was born. Zimarne misses home, but he said it is good to be away from home during the term as he has nothing to distract him from his school work. He likes the multicultural aspect of John Paul College, and made a lot of different friends.
Academically, Zimarne’s favourite subject is Science. He is a keen sportsman, and excels in Rugby and Athletics.
